Houston, Texas is currently the sole city in the United States without an MPC, and this model has proven effective. Therefore, I will adopt Houston's approach! After drafting the new policy, it will be presented to the voters for approval during the upcoming general election.

I plan to launch a texting service that alerts Blanchard citizens about council meetings and allows them to vote electronically on agenda items 24 hours before meetings. Voting results will be accessible to council members to reflect public opinion so your voices are heard. This approach may also be taken to notify residents of urgent alerts like water boil advisories or other emergencies.

process establishes a documented record for Blanchard and facilitates the generation of repair work orders for the DOTD and the Caddo Parish Highway Department.
